It is produced in plates by the method of extrusion and has insulating properties due to gas entrapment in closed cells. Its main feature is the closed pores and the lack of water absorption, which makes the extruded polystyrene suitable for applications in high humidity.<\/p>\n<p>The production of extruded polystyrene is done by extrusion, during which the thermoplastic polystyrene is polymerized.
